Cardross Community Council

Cardross Community Council is a voluntary organisation established by statute through Argyll and Bute Council. Although not part of local government, they play a vital role in complementing the local authority's efforts.

Our primary purpose is to represent the views of the Cardross community and enhance the local area. Here’s how we work to achieve this:

  • Representing the Community: They serve as the voice of Cardross, advocating for local residents with public bodies such as the council, NHS, and police.

  • Improving Services: Our council collaborates with various partners to enhance local services and promote the well-being of Cardross.

  • Planning Consultation: They are consulted on all planning applications in our area, ensuring community input is considered. This includes licensing applications and contributions to the Licensing Policy Statement.

  • Campaigning for Causes: They actively campaign on specific issues that matter to our community and support good causes that benefit Cardross.

  • Local Events: They organise and run events to unite our residents, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging.

Together, we strive to make Cardross a better place for everyone!
