There are many local walks, whether short or long, beginner or experienced that you can enjoy.
Route: Kilmahew
A walk exploring the lost estate of Kilmahew, follow the route here
If you visit these woods today, you'll find a big surprise! In Kilmahew Glen, there's an abandoned estate with traces from medieval times to the present. Kilmahew has changed many times, always ending in decline. Among the trees and rhododendrons, you can see parts of the buildings that used to be here. As you walk through, remember the Scots nobility, trainee priests, and community volunteers who came before you, and let your mind picture the waterfalls, gardens, and ponds.
